I would like to give you a brief history of Jackson Adjustment Company.
In 1983, having worked as a staff and independent adjuster for 10 years, I met John Postava, who would eventually found Simsol Insurance Services and Simsol Software Corporation. John had been working catastrophes for several years and he talked me into leaving the relatively secure world of daily claims for the uncertainty of catastrophe claims. For the next 10 years, John and I barnstormed the country, chasing floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes. I had finally found my calling. Thank you, John.
In 1996 I formed Jackson Adjustment Company. At that time, I had 3 additional adjusters, Al Taylor, Steve Taylor, and George Tarrant. I'm please to say that these highly skilled professionals are still with me and their expertise is an invaluable asset to our company. Since then we have steadily grown into a nationwide company, able to draw from an ever increasing database of prescreened, qualified and certified adjusters.
In 2004 we learned some valuable lessons. Hurricanes Charlie, Frances, Jeanne and Ivan wrecked havoc along both Florida coasts and had us continuously relocating in order to stay operational. It was the worst of times for us. We vowed that never again would we allow the storms that enable us to work take away out ability to do so.
We have now moved inland and completed the build-out of our new home office in Port Orange, Florida. The building's roof and windows are rated for 200mph winds and we are tied into the same power grid as the city's emergency services. Our newly installed state-of-the art communications and electronics system is web-based and accessible from anywhere in the world. This will ensure that Jackson Adjustment Company's dedication to our partners' needs will never be compromised. These systems, along with our full-time staff, will enable us to process paperless claims faster and more efficiently than ever, while continuing to grow and expand.
What has and will continue to set us apart from others is our sense of responsibility and our unfailing commitment to seeing that the job is done right. This web site was designed by my wife, Della to help us meet the needs of our partners in the claims process, policyholders, agents, insurance companies. We hope you like it.
